Bilingual Outreach & Enrollment Representative

Under supervision from the Marketing Director, the Bilingual Outreach & Enrollment Representative will be responsible for the implementation of the outreach and enrollment plan as it pertains to providing both patients and non-patients of the health centers assistance in securing access to available health insurance coverage and health care services. Duties include but are not limited to identifying the needs of the uninsured and underinsured regarding lack of coverage and access to care, raising awareness of insurance options such as Health Insurance Marketplace, MassHealth, and providing eligibility and enrollment assistance to uninsured patients of the health center and residents in the communities we serve.
The Outreach and Enrollment Representative will be responsible to uncover pockets of the uninsured or underinsured through outreach to local businesses, community and faith based organizations, municipal agencies, and food pantries to name a few. He/she will establish positive relationships and collaborate with other health centers, provider agencies and community organizations to ensure coordination of outreach and enrollment activities and timely distribution of relevant materials and information. The Representative will organize and/or participate in community events and health fairs, develop and execute relevant presentations and support the efforts of the marketing department in reaching out to the uninsured and underinsured. The Outreach and Enrollment Representative will schedule appointments to primary care and dental services once the need has been identified. She/he will be responsible for data collecting and reporting pertinent to enrollments, re-enrollments, number of individuals assisted during the enrollment process, and number of appointments made for medical and dental appointments (proof of making the connection between obtaining coverage and providing access to primary and dental appointments).
Minimum Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Public Health, 6 years of experience in a professional setting of which 3 years are in community outreach, Basic Knowledge and/or understanding of MassHealth and MassHealth products, Health Insurance Marketplace, excellent communication skills, excellent presentation skills, working knowledge of community event planning, oral and written fluency in English, oral and written fluency in Spanish and/or Brazilian Portuguese, and/or Vietnamese, knowledge of and ability to network with community resources, excellent customer service skills, ability to work independently and to work as part of a team in collaboration with other professionals, ability to set priorities and observe deadlines, Computer Literate; Intermediate Level Skills in Excel, Word, Publisher and Power Point, Salesforce literate within 10 business days of employment.
Preferred Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements: Business Development, Marketing, Public Speaking, Customer Service, Prior use of NEXTGEN Practice Management or similar software, Current Certification (Certified Application Counselor), Intermediate skills in Salesforce or other similar Customer Relations Management (CRM) software.
