Job Details

The Business Office Director is responsible for managing accounting functions such as payroll accounts, accounts payable and receivable, as well as collections. They are also responsible for the human resources administration functions including benefit administration, basic recruitment; new hire paperwork and orientation.

This role also supervises the front desk staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and facilitates the workflow of reception associates.
  • Responsible for processing payroll for respective community.
  • Maintains all associate and resident files.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all associate files; both hard copies and electronic files.
  • Responsible for coordinating the onboarding and orientation process for all new hires.
  • Assist HR Manager with benefits administration for their community.
  • All financial admissions and discharge processes for the community.
  • Assist as needed with the admissions process for new residents, including paperwork and meeting with family members.
  • Manage the move in/move out process within YARDI.
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget.
  • Where applicable, filing of GAFC and Medicaid filings are completed accurately and timely.
  • Responsible for all areas of accounts receivable and oversee accounts payable.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures as outlined in the HR policy and Procedure Manual as well as the Associate Handbook.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • Must possess sight, hearing senses, or uses prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  • Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents, personnel, and support agencies.
  • Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
  • Must be able to relate to the work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the community.
  • Physically able to move at least 25 lbs. without assistance. May be required to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc.
  • Physically able to bend, reach and work in small areas.
  • Physical stamina and ability to assist residents as needed and in emergencies.
