Our Southeastern MA civil engineering & land surveying client needs a Civil Engineer to service growing production requirements.  Ideal candidate will develop plans and specifications for a multitude of land development projects; including subdivisions, roadway design, drainage systems, grading, septic systems, and land use permitting, surveying, and working with Owners, professional engineers, customers, and regulatory authorities to complete assignments.  Job requires a combination of field and office work, often walking over rough terrain, and working in inclement weather.  Additional efforts will involve participating in project proposal, project reporting, and project closeouts.


Candidate should have the following or equivalent:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program, 3+ years’ experience
  • Passage of the FE exam required with the ability and desire to apply for the PE exam within two years,
  • Possession of Soil Evaluation license and OSHA Safety training certificate preferred
  • Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, data collection software, Microsoft Office,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exercises good judgment and common sense, demonstrated ability to present to peers, clients, and regulatory authorities,
  • Self-motivated, attention to detail, and ability to utilize critical thinking and judgment to define, analyze and resolve problems and issues.
  • Knowledge of and experience with storm water management, grading & drainage design, sanitary & roadway profiles, surveying, existing conditions plans, site planning & conceptual site layouts, zoning ordinance review and research, lighting design, cuts/fills, earthwork quantities, erosion and sedimentation control design and permitting.
