JOB SUMMARY:Under the supervision of the Director, the Clinician is responsible for the overall implementation, assessment, and administration of quality clinical services for the Brewster Treatment Facility. S/he will display and encourage the character traits of honesty, respect, caring and responsibility in the fulfillment of all job duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all clinical services are consistent with the operating policies of the OCCS, Office of Community Corrections and other regulatory agencies.
- In cooperation with the Boy’s Secure Treatment Program Caseworkers, ensure that a copy of assigned resident’s case history is included in the BSTP Case Record on a timely basis.
- Ensure that a treatment plan is completed on each of the assigned residents. Ensure that the treatment plan is reviewed monthly.
- Complete weekly Treatment Progress notes on assigned residents.
- Implement groups (as assigned) and Individual therapy sessions for assigned residents on a weekly basis.
- Make the necessary referrals to outside agencies or departments in regards to discharge.
- Create an after care / discharge plan for each resident assigned.
- Participate in weekly Behavior Rounds, meetings and monthly staffings.
- Participate in any assigned monitoring of residents or transitions.
SUPERVISION OF PERSONNEL:
- Train and supervise clinical interns.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY:
- Adhere to all fiscal policies and procedures such as petty cash purchase orders, vouchers and employee expenses as requested.
FACILITY/HOUSEKEEPING RESPONSIBILITY:
- Ensure that the Clinicians’ office meets the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
INTERDIVISIONAL/COMMUNITY/VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITY:
- Attend all staff meetings.
- Attend the OCC meetings as assigned.
- Actively participate in the Y’s Annual Strong Kid’s campaign.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in clinical psychology, education, counseling, psychology, rehabilitative counseling or social work from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years supervised counseling, or equivalent combination of education and expertise. CADAC preferred.
CLOSING STATEMENT:
- To enhance the overall operation of the Old Colony Y and support team work, the Clinician will accept additional responsibilities as assigned.
