The IDS OHS Nurse Case Manager is responsible for providing quality case management services for Cape Cod HealthCare Incorporated (CCHC) affiliated companies in an appropriate cost effective manner. A systematic approach to the coordination of medical services, return to work planning and improved clinical outcomes.
  • Provide a weekly claims management forum to discuss workers compensation and disability cases with a multidisciplinary team. Each case discussed has an agreed upon action plan next steps are outlined with responsible parties and timeframes for completion.
  • Attend quarterly meetings with the Third Party Administrator and multidisciplinary team that focus on resolving financial and other issues that might surface during a workers compensation claim.
  • Work collaboratively with Clinician physician interdisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate care and services and improved outcomes including return to work. Provide work site evaluations as requested.
  • Reviews and informs the Safety Officer of corrective action recommendations determined by Safe Patient Handling Committee.
  • Maintains core clinical competency and current regulatory knowledge of WC ADA FMLA MCAD.
  • Participates in education programs in services and meetings as required. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested Displays flexibility cooperation and characteristics of a team member.

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Case Management preferred.
  • Maintains current education and awareness of technical and professional changes associated with Occupational Health and Case Management nursing.
  • Demonstrates competency in OSHA CDC and other regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by a positive attitude, pleasant, professional and cooperative demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively.
  • Proficient computer skills in word excel and mox.

Schedule Details: 40 hours per week, 8a-4p Monday-Friday.
