Job Details:

Cape Cod Healthcare is the leading provider of healthcare services for residents and visitors of Cape Cod.  With more than 450 physicians, 4,700 employees, and 1,100 volunteers, Cape Cod Healthcare operates two-acute care hospitals, the Cape's leading provider of homecare and hospice services (VNA), a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility (JML Care Center), an assisted living facility (Heritage at Falmouth), the Cape's only local laboratory service (CCHC Laboratory Services) and numerous health programs.  We are currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Falmouth Hospital. 



Evaluates and administers selected activities to achieve maximum physical and mental functioning for each patient when prescribed by a referring physician.  The therapist will assess, test, treat and evaluate infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients, recognizing age specific differences, and variations in methods used in patient assessment, care and support required for these different age groups.  Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team in helping to restore function and in preventing disability.

Graduate of an AOTA accredited Occupational Therapy program with a Degree in Occupational Therapy.  Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  One to two years experience preferred.  Adheres to the Professional Code of Ethics of the AOTA.  Maintains current CPR certification.  Demonstrates current clinical competency.  Good interpersonal and organizational skills.



Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.  Basic computer skills.



Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.  Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.  Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
