Schedule: Per-diem
Shift: Day/Evening Shift
Hours: Per diem hours between 8:30a-5:00p, rotating weekdays
Job Details: Cape Cod Healthcare is the leading provider of healthcare services for residents and visitors of Cape Cod.  With more than 450 physicians, 4,700 employees, and 1,100 volunteers, Cape Cod Healthcare operates two-acute care hospitals, the Cape's leading provider of homecare and hospice services (VNA), a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility (JML Care Center), an assisted living facility (Heritage at Falmouth), the Cape's only local laboratory service (CCHC Laboratory Services) and numerous health programs.  We are currently seeking a dedicated Patient Service Assistant to join our team at Falmouth Hospital.   



Responsible for the personal needs of patients and general maintenance of the unit.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Practices according to entity mandatory requirements.       
  2. Practices according to department expectations.     
  3. Practices with a Customer Service approach to all activities.          
  4. Provides care for patients according to facility/agency, JCAHO, and the law.
  5. Provides care as part of the interdisciplinary team. 
  6. Documents according to facility/agency and department policies.  
  7. Prioritizes duties according to patient and department needs.        
  8. Meets the needs of the patient/family using internal and external resources.       
  9. Uses appropriate physical resources/equipment in a safe manner.
  10. Addresses age-specific needs of infants, toddlers, school age, adults and older adults.   
  11. Provides quality care for patients.     
  12. Performs room maintenance duties. 
  13. Performs administrative and other duties as needed.

  • Must be a Certifies Nursing Assistant.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Reads, Speaks, Writes in English.
