General Purpose:
To plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their social and academic potential.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in accordance with the policies and the philosophy of the preschool.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
• Prepare classroom for class activities
• Prepare to work with students 1:1, small groups, as well as large group.
• Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs. In addition, incorporate their interests, talents, and individual learning styles.
• All children must be treated with dignity and respect. Respect each child’s cultural and socioeconomic differences.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
• Participate with monthly classroom changeover ex. dramatic play center, block center, puzzle center, art center, book nook, writing center, windows, bulletin boards,& hallways
• Share responsibilities of the appearance of the classroom’ cleanliness & organization.
• Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development, anecdotal records, and assist with parent conferences
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures with accordance to preschool policy
• Coordinate family fun activities and fundraising events
• Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities and fundraising events.
• Promote and support public relation activities sponsored by preschool
• Participate monthly preschool staff meetings and parent meetings
• Communicate necessary information regularly to colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs
• Maintain a pleasant and positive rapport with parents and other family members
• Assume equal share of housekeeping duties ex. bathrooms, vacuum, sweeping, mopping, dusting, bleaching toys, & laundry


Education and Experience: Meet professional teacher education requirements of the preschool and the Mass DEEC Must be DEEC Preschool Teacher Certified, DEEC BA and/or ECE AS Degree, current CPR & First Aid Key Competencies: Self motivation, high energy level, verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, high work standards, problem solving, decision making, organizing and planning, learning orientation, critical thinking, stress tolerance, flexibility, adaptability, and initiative Please No Calls, Email cover letter & resume:
