The Senior Analyst Business Intelligence works within the Strategy Division to inform strategic, business development and operational decision-making. This role develops and utilizes complex business analytical models, performs key analyses and creates reports and visual presentations to concisely illustrate trends and forecast opportunities.
  • Prepares analyses and creates reports which concisely demonstrate the performance Cape Cod Healthcare’s programs and services. Analyzes trends evident in data from multiple statistical, demographic and billing systems.
  • Assists CCHC leadership with strategic planning and business development initiatives by developing market assessments, market forecasts, capacity, and other analyses.
  • Builds and performs analyses which support service line development. Supports strategy team in business planning and the development of pro formas for expansion or new initiatives.
  • Utilizes knowledge of the McKesson business intelligence systems, the hospitals’ financial system and external databases to provide information needed for both strategic projects and ad hoc data requests.
  • Builds strong, collaborative team relationships within the division, as well as with Finance, Operations, Managed Care and Marketing Communications. Will jointly develop dashboards, ensure the accuracy of analyses and promote data understanding.
  • Participates with IT team in the development of the McKesson business intelligence and other decision support systems. Interfaces regularly with IT department regarding data warehousing, upgrade testing and recurring reporting requirements. Will research and resolve data issues as needed.
  • Integrates multiple technologies and datasets and related workflow processes to solve business problems. Optimizes and delivers data in a variety of mediums.
  • Creates new operational reports and leverages existing McKesson reports to adapt to changing needs of the organization. Once reports are established and becoming recurring, the Sr. Analyst will review these daily reports, which are generated by the BI Analyst.
  • Coordinates with the Business Intelligence team to meet organizational goals and adhere to timelines and professional standards.
  • Reviews daily reports generated by BI Analyst.
  • Perform other work related duties and assist with special projects as required or assigned.


  • Bachelor in Business Administration, Finance, Health Administration, Economics or a closely related discipline.
  • Three to five years’ experience in business analysis and/or a decision support role.
  • Organized, strategic thinker who is enthusiastic about working with both data and people.
  • Must possess advanced analytic skills. Knowledge and experience with revenue and utilization modeling, data warehousing and business intelligence systems is required.
  • Advanced MS/Excel skills, combined with experience with relational databases and data analytics software are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and apply initiative and creativity on challenging projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, along with flexibility to change, and exposure to Senior Management.
  • Ability to quickly absorb new ideas and concepts.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple project demands.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a project team and communicate well with peers and management in a variety of disciplines within the organization.
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the needs of the position.
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare informatics, managed care analytics or a related healthcare field.
  • Knowledge of and experience with reporting systems, relational databases and healthcare information systems required.
  • Ability to learn and master new information systems.
  • Microsoft Excel experience required; experience with Microsoft or other reporting platforms preferred.
  • Demonstrated competence in SQL preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry standard coding, such as ICD-9 and ICD-10, DRG, CPT, HCPCS, and revenue codes.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple demands and quickly absorb new ideas and concepts.
  • Ability to present concepts and analytical results in a logical and concise manner.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain information in a confidential manner in acceptance with policy.

Schedule Details: Full-time 40 Hours per week 8:30a-5:00p Monday-Friday, occ. w/e, occ. holiday
