The Information Systems Provider EMR Senior Analyst functions across all Cape Cod Healthcare affiliates as an information systems consultant to senior management, department managers, supervisors, staff and providers as they plan, implement, and maintain provider practice management systems and an electronic medical record for physician practices affiliated with CCHC entities.
  • Function as an information systems management consultant to senior management, department heads, and providers as they plan for a high level of integration between Cape Cod Healthcare entities and physician practices.
  • Develop and execute project plans for system implementations.
  • Implement and support provider practice manangement (PM), electronic medical record (EMR), interfaces, health information exchange (HIE) tools and other systems deemed appropriate to support integration with providers.
  • Implement interfaces between hospital information systems, physician practice electronic medical records (EMR), utilizing a variety of platforms and tools.
  • Develop and administer user training programs for information systems module users and cross-train other analysts for future support and implementations.
  • Establish relationships with physician practices and their associated EMR vendors, to ensure rapid deployment of integration options.
  • Establish and maintain required documentation for IS applications and procedures. Document current and proposed information systems flows and procedures as required.
  • Remain abreast of new developments in healthcare information systems technology with special attention to the departments and applications supported.
  • Serve as resource for other analysts in the department.
  • Select and use appropriate report writers and other software tools to provide management information to system users and hospital management personnel.
  • Serve on CCHC committees and task forces as directed.
  • Assume other duties as directed.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Management, Health Care Administration or health care related field required or an equivalent amount of related experience and education obtained that demonstrated the necessary skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
  • Three to five years experience in the installation of health care information systems.
  • Experience in and an understanding of the ambulatory provider setting; demonstrated ability to work with physician practices and their staff.
  • EMR and workflow subject matter expertise.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communications and educational skills
  • Ability to present design concepts and system functions in an understandable, logical and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and lead projects through completion.
  • Demonstrated project management skills to participate in multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to conduct training classes, project meetings, and seminars with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with trouble shooting HL7 interface messages a plus.
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks and AthenaHealth a plus.
  • Working knowledge of results output from Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging and other ancillary systems.
  • Interface design and application integration experience, data mapping, testing and implementation.

Schedule Details: 40 hours per week, 8a-4p Monday-Friday, occ. weekend, occ. holiday.
