Supervisor of Blood Bank Falmouth Hospital

  • Plans, organizes and provides services for the Blood Bank section of the Laboratory.
  • Plans, organizes and provides services for the Laboratory Service Techs area of the Laboratory.
  • Enters reference lab results and resolves issues with incomplete and incorrect orders.
  • Manages the overall lab pending log to insure all lab orders are completed.
  • Oversees quality of the section and ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, CAP, and AABB requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:
 
  • Must meet the educational and experience CLIA qualifications for a general supervisor as outlined in Section 493.1461 of the Federal Register.
  • A minimum of 5 years Blood Bank experience required.
  • Supervisory experience and Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • MT/MLT (ASCP) or equivalent required.

Schedule Details: 80PP, 8a-4p, occ weekends, occ holidays%0A**May also include occasional evening and night hours when required to assist with computer upgrades, instrument downtime updates, or hospital emergencies that may require laboratory assistance.
