The Survivorship Program Manager provides management of day to day operations, leadership and serves as the point person in the management, administration and fiscal accountability within the department.



  1. The Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing processes related to cancer survivorship.
  2. The Program Manager is available for special projects and can be assigned to provide support of senior Cancer Service Line leaders involving confidential and sensitive information.  
  3. The Program Manager will respond to high-level inquiries directed to the department, problem-solving and create proposed solutions. 
  4. In collaboration with the Administrative Director will have ongoing responsibility for addressing the capacity, workflow and work processes of the clinical and non-clinical, infrastructure and program activities within the department.
  5. The Program Manager will establish and monitor systems for budget management and variance reporting and assist in development of the annual operating and capital budget for the Survivorship Program under the direction of the Director of Cancer Services.
  6. Participates with clinic operations team in overseeing routine practice management functions to ensure maximum utilization of resources and efficient delivery of services within the clinic.
  7. Works with leadership on utilization and distribution of clinical space and responsible for clinical processes related to patient flow, resource utilization, and patient satisfaction.
  8. Manages the development, appropriate use, and maintenance of several associated administrative, research and gift accounts. 
  9. Organizes implements and evaluates professional conferences, educational symposia and patient/family forums. 
  10. Expands survivorship community outreach to underserved. 
  11. Anticipates and/or responds efficiently and appropriately to VIP, donor, and trustee matters.  Serving as liaison to Marketing, Communications, and Development.
  12. Teaches psychosocial content for ongoing educational programs for patients and families with cancer.
  13. Responsible for formal and informal individual and family counseling along with crisis intervention for all Cape Cod Hospital oncology patients at any point in their cancer journey.  
  14.  Supervises  and coordinates additional facilitators for support groups.
  15. Promotes the expansion of Cancer Survivorship psychosocial and educational programs across Cape Cod, as time permits
  16. Ensures appropriate documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.



·       Registered Nurse, BSN preferred

·       Oncology experience preferred

·       Project management and/ or administrative experience preferred.

  • Experience with outreach and development initiatives preferred.
  • Financial (budgeting) experience preferred.
  • Ability to interact effectively in a complex organization and in ambiguous situations.
  • Must be able to establish excellent working relationships with individuals and teams at various levels and from various fields of expertise
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
  • Innovative, detail-oriented and self-motivated demonstrated leader.
