 Human Resources Coordinator/Assistant

Town of Falmouth

Excellent entry level opportunity to join the Human Resources team at the Town of Falmouth. Responsibilities include acting as a first point of contact for HR related inquiries both in person and over phone, while providing a wide range of administrative and customer support both internally and externally. Assists with entire recruitment cycle, maintains the town’s newly implemented applicant tracking system in order to hire the best qualified candidates in a timely and efficient manner, prepares internal and external job postings, schedules interviews, conducts reference checks, prepares offer letters; creates and maintains regular and custom HR reports; processes invoices and HR related paperwork; maintains personnel files; data entry into HRIS; manages full cycle recruitment and selection of seasonal hire program; assists in the preparation of data collection and reporting; performs routine administrative and clerical duties; assists with the implementation of new onboarding program, provides technical support for ad-hoc projects; updates departmental website; provides human resource customer service, including answering standard policy and benefit questions; orders supplies, provides assistance in administering employee benefit programs; all other clerical support duties and special projects as assigned. Preferred candidate will have 2+ years HR experience and college degree; demonstrated prior experience in the use and benefit of all aspects of an automated Applicant Tracking System; technology proficient and able to pick up new ideas and programs quickly, including demonstrated experience with excel; ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential info; ability to handle multiple and shifting tasks in a fast-paced environment, while still maintaining an acute attention to detail; general knowledge of state and federal employment laws and ability to apply principles appropriately

This is a temporary position for approximately 16+ weeks, with an anticipated start date beginning in January.  Pay rate is up to $25/hr.
